Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo Calzone

So good and so easy.  This was definitly a family pleaser.  I served mine with a garden salad and it was satisfying enough for a complete dinner.  I used a pillsbury pizza dough, but I have to say I wasn't totally in love with it, I would definitly try to use a regular pizza dough next time, but nobody else in the family seemed to notice.  They ate it all up and no leftovers.

Also, I have learned the hard way that cooking on a pizza stone is the best way to ensure a crispy crust on the bottom.  If you don't have a pizza stone then a cookie sheet should be fine but I would definitly preheat the cookie sheet in the oven to help the crispiness along.

Ingredients:
1/2 jar alfredo sauce
1/2 bag frozen broccoli, cooked and drained of water
1 package precooked chicken (perdue shortcuts)
1 C mozzarella cheese
(optional) grated parmesan cheese
garlic powder (just enough to sprinkle a layer over dough, I didn't measure)
black pepper (same as the garlic powder, just enough to sprinkle over half of the dough)
olive oil - enough to brush top crust

Recipe:

Preheat oven with pizza stone to 375.

Roll out dough into a rectange. Place dough on wax paper or non stick foil. Pour half of the alfredo sauce on one half of the dough.  Sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper.
Top with chicken.
Top with broccoli.  Then top with cheese(s) and remaining alfredo sauce.

Fold dough over and seal the edges.  Brush with olive oil.

Carefully move your calzone, wax paper and all, to pizza stone and bake about 30 minutes or until crust is a nice golden brown.
Serve with a salad and it's a complete meal.  Enjoy.
