Happy Thursday! Today I am excited to announce that I am guest posting over at The Best Blog Recipes Blogger Gallery.
Hello everyone! I am Christine and I blog over at Foody Schmoody...I'm JUST Cooking. I blog about recipes. Not just any old recipes, but actual recipes that I feed my family. If a recipe has made the blog, my family has eaten it, and more importantly, given it the stamp of approval! Come on over sometime and say hello, I'd love to have you. I was so ridiculously excited when I found out I would be contributing here. After all, Shauna is sharing the BEST blog recipes here, right? So I am feeling the pressure to share something utterly amazing.
I know what you're thinking, chili? utterly amazing? Doubtful, right? I swear, I never thought I'd be sharing a chili recipe, but over the past few weeks, this chili has become one of my favorite things to eat. To make things even better, I used lean ground turkey, so I don't have to feel too badly about myself after I scarf down a enormous bowl (or two, or...). In fact, since I've added the sweet potatoes, I'm feeling downright delighted with myself. I didn't even top this chili with cheese, which is pretty much unheard of, right? It's that good, no cheese required, but by all means, add the cheese if you must. I did, however, serve it with a big ole bowl of tortilla chips, but they were multigrain, so that makes it okay (sort of). Oh and did I mention this is a crockpot meal? Yup, which means I've just made your life THAT much easier. There is some debate over whether one has to cook ground turkey prior to putting it in the crockpot. I prefer to cook mine first, even though it's lean and there isn't any grease to drain out, I just feel better about it. You can choose to or not, whichever you normally would do.
