Ugly Duckling Link Party!

The other day, I begrudgingly posted some recipes that are super delicious but are not delicious looking (sigh).  I tried my hardest to get them to look blog worthy but it just wasn't happening.  Then I got a very nice message from One TIPsy Chick and she was thinking this has got to be something that all bloggers face.  We decided to join forces and make a different kind of link party.  A link party that not only doesn't discriminate against the poorly photographed posts but embraces them!  And so The Ugly Duckling Link Party was born!

Link up your posts, that are considered "less than" for the way they look. Whether it be that you haven't quite mastered photography or just a lackluster looking (but delicious) recipe. Those posts deserve some blog love too.

Just like the Tuesday Tastings party that is usually here, ALL links will be pinned!

Before we get on to the NEW party, I want to share the best of the best from Tuesday Tastings last week:

 1. Garlic Bread Chicken Parm Pizza by Living Better Together
 2. Pretzel Rolls by recipes, food & cooking

Now on to The Ugly Duckling:

It would be lovely of you to follow your host/co-host in some form (if you let us know how you are following in comments and we would love to follow you back).

HOST -  Christine - Foody Schmoody...I'm JUST Cooking

CO-HOST - One TIPsy Chick

  2. What a great idea! I linked up my Cream of Mushroom Pot Roast--it's a great recipe and if you have any clue as to how it tastes it will look good to you...but if you had never had anything like it before, you'd never taste it based on the photos!!!
    Thanks for the party!

    1. These kinds of recipes are so difficult to make pretty but I know they are so good!

  3. I love the transitioned party theme! I posted my regular recipes of the week but added our Ham & Cauliflower Casserole which was probably our all time ugliest photo! In fact we still laugh about it. In the winter it is impossible to take good photos in my house which is extremely unhelpful since I am still learning the art of photography.

    1. Thanks for coming even w/ the new theme! We hoped it would be fun but weren't sure how others would like it. :-)

  4. GREAT Idea. I love this, I have some recipes that are just fabulous but for the life of me could not take a good photo of it.

  5. Thank you for this ugly duckling party. I put your link on my party page also. I've got so many of these pictures in the past 4 years... bad pictures. I'm just beginning to improve a little. This picture isn't as bad as some from years ago (I've been doing this for 4 years). Linda

    1. Thanks so much Linda! I'm just starting to get the hang of the photography aspect of blogging too. I'm rather embarrassed from some of my earlier posts!

  9. This is a wonderful idea! Some of our family's favorite dishes don't photograph so well. I haven't posted because of that...now I will! Thanks.
